Environment Awareness Campaign
As we all are aware, mankind today’s experiencing self-created difficulties and problems in its environment. It is the ambitions seeking exploitation of earth’s environment because of which our planet earth is deterioratively loosing its balance. This is resulting in increasing frequency of natural disasters. However despite this only a handful few, are concerned the rest are not making any efforts to contain the situation or even becoming “aware” of it.
Man in today’s lifestyle is inspired only towards modernization. Mankind knowingly and or unknowingly has wantonly manipulated the environment with its results becoming omniscient, although nature is calling on this, but we are not responding to this nature’s call. It is well understood that if this situation continues for another 5 to 10 years than earth’s & nature’s existence shall be jeopardized.
Keeping in view the above situation, the Sansthan (SGVS) has taken the lead in starting a movement with a view to develop it into a revolution. The Sansthan (SGVS) wishes to inspire each individual to take-up
resolution for conservation of environment and as a solution to the problem start participationin govt. schemes & start a people’s-govt. dialogue.
SGVS on 22nd April 2009 organized a peaceful Cycle Rally to initiate ‘People’s Awareness on Environmental Affect’ in Wadrafnagar block of Sarguja district in Chhattisgarh. The cycle rally of 500 to 600 cyclists, who made a tour of 60 Km. and covered about 45 panchayats in its awareness tour. The cycle railly reached to ‘High School Ground,
Wadrafnagar’ where it converted into a get-together (Sammelan). Mr. Premsai Singh, MLA Pratappur Constituency was the chief guest of the programme and addressed the cyclist and the audiences. The
get-together participated in by individuals, society & organizations in the field of environment, academia, govt. officials and media representatives. The thoughts & ideas of Late Shri Pratap Bhai delivered before the participants in the programme.
